Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. To the best of my knowledge, meetyoder.com is conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA.

Technical specifications

Accessibility of meetyoder.com relies on the following technologies to work with the particular combination of web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer:

  • HTML

  • CSS

  • JavaScript

These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.

Limitations and alternatives

Despite my best efforts to ensure the accessibility of Austin Yoder, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations, and potential solutions. Please contact me if you observe an issue not listed below.

Known limitations for Austin Yoder:

  1. Title and button font: Fonts for larger titles may be difficult to read. The Austin Yoder brand has been associated with this font since 2016, upon the release of My Name is Yoder. Previously released songs, albums, and videos are still associated with this font, therefore are still being utilized to maintain brand consistency. I am constantly scanning through the website with screen readers and accessibility checks to ensure the readability of the more unique elements of the site. All the text on the website is selectable and can be detected by screen readers and/or copied and pasted into alternative readers. Buttons with this font can be read by a screen reader by right-clicking on the button.

Formal complaints

Please never hesitate to reach out with an accessibility concern regarding meetyoder.com. This can be done by using the contact resources above or by visiting my Contact page. I aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 2 business days and to propose a solution within 10 business days. Should you be dissatisfied with my response to you, I would be happy to call you about the issue and for us to verbally work out a solution.

Conclusion

I want to emphasize my aim for this website to be a safe and accessible space for all of its users as well as a constantly evolving platform. Nothing here is set in stone and should any element on this site be an accessibility concern, I will do everything in my power to ensure that that concern is alleviated. From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you for your patience and dedication as I work to meet your needs.
